Men's Signet Ring (1918-1919)

A prisoner of war in Siberia made this ring out of a melted U.S. silver dollar for Corporal Everett T. Caughman. Caughman was born and raised in Hillside, Colorado and worked as a clerk at the Strathmore Hotel in Cañon City. He served in World War I in Company D, 27th Infantry in Siberia. His company's main goal was to prevent Allied war material from falling into German or Bolshevik hands by guarding the Trans-Siberian railroad between Vladivostok and Nikolks-Ussuriski.
